About me

Growing up by the Mediterranean sea, the water has always given me a sense of home. Scuba diving and freediving since I was young, I decided to specialise myself and become an instructor in order to bring like-minded people with me in the underwater realm. This way, not only can I share my passion but also invite people to discover a breathtaking world here in the Maldives.

Rasdhoo island

Rasdhoo island is a tropical paradise situated in the centre of the archipelago, which makes it easily accessible. Renowned for its crystal clear turquoise waters and vibrant coral reefs, the surroundings of this local island offer some of the worlds top class dive sites. With its serene ambiance and friendly local community, Rasdhoo island provides the perfect heaven getaway combining accessibility, affordability, and natural splendor.

Sea life

Diving partners

In order to freedive on the nicest reefs, I closely work with Family Divers Maldives, a scuba diving operator here in Rasdhoo. When doing an open water session, the freedivers will come on board with the scuba divers to reach the different dive spots.

If you would like to do some scuba diving while in Rasdhoo, I highly recommend to visit their website

Do i need any prior experience to do a course?

Whether you are considering on taking the Basic Level or Level 1, you do not need any previous certification. However it is recommendable to be comfortable swimmer.

The temperature in Rasdhoo stays around 30 degrees celsius all year round. The water temperature varies from 28 to 30 degrees celsius with no thermocline, meaning no change in temperature depending on the depth.

WIFI on the island

The best way to have internet on the island is either ask your guesthouse to access their wifi, or simply get a Sim Card at your arrival at the airport. There are two Sim Card companies that offer 30 days data deals; Ooredoo or Dhiraagu.

How to get to the island

From the airport, your guesthouse will organise the boat trip to get you to Rasdhoo. There are two boats per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Only 1h30 of boat trip and you’ll be in Rasdhoo!

What about the equipment necessary?

It is possible to rent the equipment here (mask/snorkle/fins/weight belt). You can always bring your own equipment if you wish !

The currency in the Maldives is the Rufiyaa. The easiest way to get Rufiyaa is to bring Euros in cash and either exchange them at the airport or change them in our local shops here in Rasdhoo. If you run out of cash, there are ATMs on the island.
